This October to do list is packed with things to do. But don't worry, you are still way ahead of where you were this time last year. A happy ending awaits you.

Your self-confidence level is probably much higher than when you started this plan. You have diligently completed each of the month's tasks that are relevant to your experience.

ITEM SUGGESTIONS
Christmas Baking
  • Bake cookies, tarts, squares and other treats for Christmas
  • Christmas Cards
  • Begin writing notes and addressing cards
  • Entertaining
  • Begin planning now
  • Kitchen appliances and knives
  • Examine appliances: cooking elements and oven, refrigerator.
  • Call for repairs, if necessary. If you need extra organize that now.
  • Sharpen knives
  • Potluck dishes
  • Prepare one or more pot-luck dishes and freeze.
  • Pots, pans, casseroles
  • Replenish cooking pots, lids, pans, casserole dishes. Multi-layered steamers reduce cooking elements.
  • October may even be busier than September. There's Canadian Thanksgiving and Halloween, to name a few events that occupy your thoughts and time.

If you prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, you may have left-overs that could be used in a pot-luck dish and frozen for a Christmas holiday event.

If you traditionally bake a good old fashion apple pie for Thanksgiving, make two instead of one, and freeze one for Christmas.

A little extra effort here and there goes a long way to reduce things to do as Christmas creeps up on you.

Remember...tame those gremlins, stay present in each moment, and you'll feel the real peace and joy of Christmas.
