The Best Meditation Place May Surprise You...
Would you believe the best meditation place is wherever you are whenever you choose? Many people create beautiful and peaceful areas in their homes and/or in their gardens for meditation. Others prefer to meditate outside in a beautiful natural setting such as by the sea or by a lake, or in a park with lots of trees and foliage. When you first learn how to meditate, the best meditation place is a quiet space where you can be undisturbed with no sudden loud noises.
But not everyone has that luxury It doesn't really matter where you meditate to get the best results - after all once you close your eyes and settle in to the silence, your world is within. Let's say that you live in a densely populated area of a huge city, like Hong Kong. You share a bachelor apartment with a roommate; and there is no air-conditioning. The sizzling heat of summer is almost unbearable so you need to keep your one window open for ventilation. With the window open it is impossible to shut out the loud noises of the busy streets in your neighborhood. Do you think meditation is exclusive to only those who can find an elaborate meditation room with special ambiance? Restrictions of space and quiet prevent no one from learning how to meditate, particularly with the Ishayas Ascension meditation techniques. If you can think, you can meditate. Even in a busy, noisy airport while you wait for your flight, you can close your eyes and enjoy peaceful meditation, or you can simply move your awareness within and meditate with your eyes open.
Try open-eye meditation at the movies... My personal experience demonstrates the power of eyes-open ascension. To deepen my meditation experience, I enrolled in a 6-month self-mastery, residential course with the Ishayas. A few times during the program we were encouraged to take a break as a group to go out to see a movie. The movie on one such outing was The Last Samurai. I love movies, but not those with violence that include blood and gore as in The Last Samurai. As I watched the movie, using just one of the Ascension techniques, I recall a feeling of surrender and a deep sense of freedom and detachment. I stayed fully alert and attentive during the entire movie. I felt no uptight or fearful reaction to the violence, and I was filled with immense emotional joy and gratitude for the beauty of the landscape scenes, the spring cherry blossoms, and of course it helped that Tom Cruise was the star. The whole experience was definitely high point in my personal and spiritual growth.
Aurelio uses his open-eye Ishaya meditation techniques while golfing. What others say...Regarding golf...after learning ascension, my golf game improved dramatically...I broke 80 three times in 2003 and four times in 2004...I can only attribute this to ascension because it is the only only change that has occurred. I have not changed my swing nor am I practicing more...Now I am detached from the results and just go out, play the game, and enjoy myself...Bad shots no longer stress me and I just let go and continue on...Aurelio, Mississauga, ON
