What is a healthy relationship?

Happy Healthy Relationship

In a nutshell...

A healthy relationship is what you get when you bring two highly functional people together.

Here we discuss romantic relationships, but these two individuals create an environment blessed with freedom to BE and flourish in any relationship.

Can you imagine being with a person who is guilt free, feels a high sense of self-worth, joyfully accepts what is presented in each moment, is passionate about almost everything in life, and totally accepts you and loves as you are?

How would like to experience that freedom?

It is achievable - with strong desire and willingness to let go of self-limiting and self-destructive beliefs and judgments.

Snapshot of a Healthy Relationship

Emotional stability...

  • Both partners enjoy similar levels of ambition for continuous emotional growth.

  • They have developed a high sense of self-worth and each enjoys a high degree of independence.

  • Conflict in their relationship is a platform for intimate and loving bonding.

Sexuality and Intimacy...

There is no fear of intimacy between these two individuals. They feel comfortable speaking their truth - they say it like it is, when it is happening.

Leisure Activities...

  • These individuals are happy being together but not obsessively so. They also enjoy the company of others.

  • They each enjoy close personal friendships, male and female.

  • At the top of their lists of priorities are activities they love to do together, regularly.

Spiritual and personal growth in relationship
  • Both are highly conscious, present and alert.

  • They fully support each others personal and spiritual growth, though they may each seek their own separate paths.

Home and family matters
  • Household chores have to be done so they share the responsibility. They playfully inject fun into the task at hand.

  • There is general agreement on most aspects family life, and where there are differences they remain open for discussion.

Neither expects the other to participate in their extended family affairs, and welcomes them to join in if they wish.
