Say Goodbye to Dental Phobia
Meditation Eliminates Dental Fear

Dental Phobia Fear of Needles

What a relief!

A long life of dental phobia finally conquered.

That's right - gone!

Meditating during dental treatment set me free! No more white knuckles for this patient.

Are you sick and tired of dental fear?

How would you like to overcome dental phobia permanently?

Does your body tense up in a raging emotional storm when you think about your upcoming dental appointment?

Do you procrastinate and neglect your dental health because of your fear of dentist?

I know exactly how you feel

My dental phobia caused me agonizing embarrassment, not to mention the internal storm of fear filled emotions.

Every time the dental office called to remind me of my upcoming appointment, I felt sick with fear.

As I sat in the CHAIR waiting for the dentist to appear, I rehearsed my requests for special treatment.

I literally begged for laughing gas, or at least for no cold water drilling, and no cold air suction tube hanging out of my mouth; my teeth are overly sensitive to hot and cold.

But Ohhh Nooo! Each dentist I went to tried to convince me that it's all in my mind, that nitrous oxide is unhealthy, that this time would be different and that everything will be alright.

I don't know what was worse, the pain of the actual dental work, or the demoralizing embarrassment of being so afraid and convinced that I was a WUSS.

Here is how I beat my dental phobia

Happy Dental Patient Shortly after I learned how to meditate, about 10 years ago, I tested it out during my next dentist appointment.

I explained to my dentist and her assistant that I was going to meditate during my treatment.

They agreed to refrain from their usual chattering - you know, the kind intended to distract you from what they are doing to you?

During the entire treatment, while using my meditation stress relief technique, I was fully alert and aware of what was going on in my mouth, as well as activity in the office.

I felt calm and relaxed, experiencing no fear and almost no pain. Occasionally my dentist asked me if I was OK. They wondered if I was asleep or passed out.

I opened my eyes and grunted an uh huh - what else can you do with a mouthful of instruments?

The experience could be described as timeless and blissful. Even though I was fully aware during the entire treatment, time passed unnoticed.

Another delightful result of that experience was the absence of dental phobia when we discussed my next appointment.

Unexpected return of my dental phobia

Over time, as a result of your daily meditation sessions, your fear of dentist will diminish.

But until it is completely eliminated from your internal programming, it may occasionally rear its ugly head and surprise you, particularly when confronted by infrequent fearful events - like annual dentist appointments.

This happened recently to me.

My dentist called to set up an appointment for deep root cleaning.

Without warning, old habitual thoughts of fear popped into my mind, and intense energy surged through my body. Out popped the WUSS in me as I weakly begged for mercy.

My very wise and compassionate dentist reminded me about how my meditation stress relief technique worked so well during previous dental appointments.

Of course, I remembered and laughed at my silliness. I thanked her for reminding me.

Once again, meditation came to my rescue. What a relief!

I enjoyed my appointment so much that I wanted to shout it from the roof top. Pretty dramatic, huh?

But all kidding aside, to all of you who need the technique as much as me -

It really works!
