The Art of Coping With Stress
Coping with stress is easier than you think. The pleasant and healthy effects of natural stress relief techniques sure beat hangovers from drugs. Virtually everyone on the planet has some degree of stress. Knowing how to relieve stress is essential if you wish to enjoy the wonderful state of conscious easy living in this moment, which I am happy to say is my daily life experience. How did I develop the art of coping with stress? Well, I was most fortunate to find some basic tools that make it easy for me. Emotional stress relief What do you want? Freedom from emotional stress? Peace of mind? You can experience that if you truly want it. You deserve it; it is your birthright to enjoy a better quality of life and peaceful easy living. What blocks your experience of peace? Ignorance and fear… Let’s take an average day in your life. On a scale of one to ten, with one being blissfully relaxed, how would you rate your level of stress? How many negative self-limiting thoughts would you think in one day? Would you believe that you think about 100,000 thoughts per day, and that most of them are false ego thoughts? Are you aware that: - fear is one of the biggest causes of stress;
- fear arises from unconscious negative thinking; and
- fear is just a defense mechanism of your ego?
Mastering the art of coping with stress requires you to let go of judgments and false beliefs that no longer serve you. Your heart knows what serves you best. Allow it to be your guide. The solutions are simple, but your false ego will try to convince you that it is not easy. Don’t you believe it. Meditation is the best solution that I know… Stress in the bedroom…Once again, meditation to the rescue. An excellent article called, Sexual Healing, by Danielle Egan, appeared in the October 2007 issue of Vancouver Magazine. Dr. Brotto says, "Women have to work at turning off their brains: stop thinking about the laundry, do your shopping list another time. For some women, it can be a challenge to stay present and focussed enough to get turned on by sex."...Think of it as a sort of zen and the art of sexual maintenance. Office stress…Many Fortune 500 CEO's use meditation to quiet the mind, reduce stress, to think more clearly and creatively, and increase their productivity. Holiday stress...Stress often reaches preposterous levels during special holiday family gatherings. Open-eye meditation techniques calm and soothe ruffled feathers in highly stressed situations.
