Controlling Your Anger
Just Puts it on Simmer

Controlling Your Anger

If you are looking for ways of controlling your anger, putting a gag on it does not work.

The best solution for dealing with anger is to see it for what is really is.

It is just your reaction to a bundle of ego thoughts and false beliefs.

Anger easily dissolves when you finally get that concept.

For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Of course, it has taken you a lifetime of developing your habit of listening to your ego, so it may take some time to break it.

How much time depends on your level of desire to change your life.

The good news is it doesn't take as long to unpack your emotional baggage as it took to pack it.

By applying these tips and techniques you will give up the idea of controlling your anger - because you will hardly have any to control.

Is it easy to make such dramatic life changes?

You are a powerful creator. You created your life the way it is now. I know, you don't want to hear that. But please stay with me here.

If you can create a stressful and depressing life, then you can certainly create a life of peace and happiness.

You just have to get your false ego self out of the way and allow it to happen naturally.

But, it will not work by controlling your anger. The very act of controlling is resistance and sets up defensive and fearful energy. Resistance is futile.

Why? Because what you resist persists.
What you give your attention to grows.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. - Buddha

You can create the kind of life you want, and I will be happy to guide you on your journey.

It is much easier to move forward when you have qualified help than trying to tackle this on your own.

Your ego will present very convincing arguments against your desire to improve you life.

One of the secrets to living a life of full of joy and peace, with very little anger, is to change your thought patterns - to let go of negative self talk created by your false ego.

Sometimes thoughts and feelings of anger will surface. But, by developing the ability to bring your awareness into the present moment when you choose, they have little, if any power over you.

Take nothing seriously.

Angry emotion is just energy. If you do not put labels on energy, you will experience much less stress and anxiety.

Play with the energy moving within you, it can be transformed into feelings of bliss. Try it.

So, instead of controlling anger, begin your new way of being in the world with these steps.

  1. Read about the ego defense mechanisms and negative self talk.

  2. Play with this easy exercise that teaches you how to watch your thoughts and quiet your mind.

Enjoy the resulting relaxation and stress relief while you discover a few delightful surprises.

  3. Learn about an easy meditation called the Ishayas Ascension.

  4. Learn how to meditate, via Skype. Contact me to set up your first appointment.

The benefits of meditation enhance every aspect of your life. The Ishayas Ascension is the best anger management technique that I know.

Functioning from the awesome peace and joy of the stillness within you, in the present moment, you can not feel angry, so controlling your anger is, thankfully, an idea you can let go of.
